Nurses Exchange is a community-first marketplace where nurses and medical professionals trade or barter scrubs and nursing-related gear they no longer need. The goal is simple: keep quality equipment circulating safely, locally, and fairly.
Members can:
Browse listings near them (with optional ZIP + distance filtering)
List scrubs, shoes, stethoscopes, bags, and approved nursing equipment
Choose local pickup or shipping, depending on the item
All listings are reviewed before going live to help keep the marketplace clean and relevant.
When you find an item you want:
Click Start Exchange
Submit your offer (trade, barter, or arrangement)
Add a message with availability or preferences
At this point, the exchange becomes a real transaction, not just a message thread.
A small handling fee is collected only when an exchange is initiated—not for browsing or messaging.
This fee helps:
Prevent spam and low-effort requests
Support user verification and moderation
Fund dispute handling and platform support
Typical fee range:
$4.99 – $8.99 per exchange (shown before checkout)
If the exchange is canceled within the allowed window or cannot proceed, refund rules apply based on the situation.
The item owner can accept or decline the exchange
Once accepted, both parties can communicate in a dedicated message thread
When the swap is completed, the exchange is marked Complete
Everything stays documented in one place for clarity and accountability.
To keep the platform safe and professional:
Prohibited items (medications, sharps, Rx items, opened sterile disposables) are not allowed
Listings require a safety acknowledgment
ZIP-based matching helps keep exchanges local when preferred
Disputes can be reviewed if an item’s condition or description is significantly misrepresented
By adding a small fee only when an exchange starts, Nurses Exchange stays:
Spam-resistant
Fair to serious users
Sustainable without ads or data selling
It keeps the focus on real trades between real medical professionals.
